Following procedure are used for ring hammer replacement in ring granulator type crusher
- Lock out drive motor.
- Open the frame top cover.
- Manually rotate rotor until one suspension bar lines up with opening created by the open frame top cover.
- Remove the spring pins from both ends of the suspension bar.
- Lock rotor to prevent rolling.
- From the drive side, commence removing a suspension bar by driving it out of the disc assembly with a smaller bar and a sledge hammer. Each suspension bar has a tapped hole in one end, and with an eye bolt, the bars can be pulled through the discs if desired.
- Individually remove each hammer from a row as the suspension bar is gradually pulled through the suspension arms.
- While the rotor is blocked in place, install new balanced ring hammers in the row . Install the spring pins in each end of the suspension bar as the installation of the hammers in the row is completed.
- Repeat above until all rows of ring hammers have been completely replaced.
- Close frame top cover.
